The Modern Truth

Most foil printing these days is a whisper.
A flat kiss with no meaning and no affection.

It's a digital mark purely for show and in the bin next week.

I do it differently.

The Deep Impression

When I print using Old Red the foil doesn't sit on the surface of the paper like modern digital print. Instead, it gets buried deep in the fibres.

A violent strike which you can feel with your finger.

British Craft with Attitude.

Three things Old Red does really well.

  • Hot Foil Business Cards

No one took me seriously until I gave them my business card. Sound familiar? I strike your design into heavyweight cotton with hot foil that catches the light — a mark you can feel with your fingertip.

  • Luxury Wedding Invitations

I create bespoke luxury wedding invitations on premium heavyweight stock — hot foil, deep impression, papers chosen for their beauty and character. It's not printed. It's pressed.

  • Personalised Luxury Gift Boxes

Most "luxury" gift boxes are a printed sleeve on cheap board. In the bin by teatime. Mine are built to outlive the gift inside. A name, a date, a monogram struck in hot foil. The wrapping paper gets torn. The box gets kept.
